Meatballs in Wine Sauce

The sauce for these meatballs is a real delight. If you are vegan or vegetarian, you can replace the meat with textured soy, I assure you that they are just as incredible.

Preparation time: 40 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 700-800 g minced meat.
  • 1 onion.
  • 1/2 green pepper.
  • 1/2 red pepper.
  • 2 cds tomato sauce.
  • 1/2 glass white wine for cooking.
  • 2 glasses approx. vegetable broth.
  • 1 bay leaf.
  • 1 clove of garlic.
  • fresh parsley.
  • Chickpea flour or gluten-free.
  • 1 egg.

PREPARATION

  1. In a bowl, mix the minced meat with egg, fresh parsley and finely chopped garlic. Integrates well. Make the shapes of the meatballs and coat them in the flour.
  2. Sear the meatballs in a frying pan over high heat. Booking.
  3. Cut your vegetables into small cubes.
  4. In a frying pan, sauté the onion. When it browns, add the peppers and cook for another 10 minutes.
  5. Add the tomato sauce and wine. Let reduce.
  6. Add the vegetable broth and bay leaf. Let it cook over low heat for about 10 minutes.
  7. Add your meatballs and simmer for 5-10 more minutes. You can add more vegetable broth if the sauce thickens too much.
